I am an expert in the development and changes of the world’s aircraft industry, its organization, production and geographical characteristics. I received my Ph.D. in Economic Geography from Gothenburg School of Economics and Commercial Law (1995) with a doctoral dissertation dealing with global changes (special focus on East and Southeast Asia) in the aircraft industry.
My research and teaching activities cover areas such as industrial development, innovation policies, clusters, supply-chains, East and Southeast Asia and regional economic development. I have been external reader and member of doctoral dissertations committees at universities in several countries.
I have lectured and accomplished seminars at a number of foreign universities and research establishments, such as Academy of Sciences, Beijing; Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta Indonesia, National Economics University Hanoi, Peking University, University of Liverpool, University of Florida, Université du Québec à Montréal, Colorado College, Colorado Springs, and Harvard University, Boston, USA.
I am also a dedicated herpetologist.
